About Us

Where It Began

Beginning in the late 1960s, Mrs. Regina Tomori intuitively sowed seeds of protection in her five children. She stood against any type of abuse in her marriage and in raising her children. At a time when many people accepted violence within the family as normal, Mrs. Regina set out to change the pattern she witnessed in her community. She became a voice for fellow women by housing battered women and talking about the dangers of abuse, both physically and emotionally. Naturally, she was connecting with others by giving safety and empowerment advice foreshadowing the mission of Regina’s Safe Alliance. It is safe to say that Mrs. Regina influenced her daughter, Dr. Rola,  in her studies and commitment to victim advocacy. Dr. Rola appreciates her mother’s dedication to prayer and fasting for victims navigating the legal system, hoping that they receive the help they need. '

Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Regina’s Safe Alliance is positioned to serve hundreds of victims across the state. In founding Regina’s Safe Alliance (RSA), Dr. Rola aspires to honor her mother’s passion through our therapeutic programs and services. By providing education and training nationwide, we are building awareness of trauma-informed treatment for victims of crime and violence.

At Regina’s Safe Alliance, our heart is to align with survivors in their healing journey as they rebuild their self-concept and rediscover their sense of safety.

Dr. Rola worked as a social worker with abused and neglected children and as a mental health counselor prior to obtaining a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology Fresno in 2004.

Her clinical experience includes psychological evaluation and treatment of mentally ill offenders in the state prison systems, with rural communities in the Blue Ridge Mountains, and trauma work with individuals impacted by domestic violence in the urban areas. Dr. Rola has been in independent practice for over 16 years and has provided consulting services for mental disability and expert witness work in family court. She has been a certified Domestic Violence Advocate for over 13 years.
